All LPG installations must meet the testing requirements of BS 5482 Part 3, in
so far as they cover gas soundness, flue spillage and burner flame pattern
requirements. Meeting these requirements will minimise the risks of gas leaks
into your boat and the build-up of combustion products which may be toxic to
you and your crew. All of these tests must be completed by the BSS examiner
during the examination, where applicable, and it's very important to remember
that your boat must have sufficient quantities of gas and water and an
adequate supply of electricity on board in order for these to take place. [7.1]
